Clonella Clonella is an AI companion you build or browse, aimed at adults who want uncensored chat plus pictures of a custom partner. The site’s main pitch is full character control, persistent memory, and image generation inside the conversation. A free start exists: unlimited free chat and 3 free images on signup, with no credit card. It suits people who want to design a companion rather than pick one preset.
Characters and chat on Clonella
The homepage says you can browse thousands of characters, or start from 100+ companions already waiting. Categories include Realistic, Fantasy, and Anime. The site also claims 100K+ characters created.
Creation has two paths. From scratch, you mix styles and set personality, backstory, voice, and appearance. Upload Photos is framed as cloning someone from your images. Terms limit that path to virtual characters, or to real people only when you hold the photo rights and explicit consent.
Chat is sold as unrestricted, with instant replies 24/7. Memory is meant to keep your name, stories, and moods across sessions. Images of the companion can be generated in the chat. Group chats put several companions in one room. The site claims 1.16M+ users, 2M+ daily messages, and a 4.9 app rating.
Is Clonella free? Pricing and limits
Signup is free and needs no credit card. You get unlimited free chat, uncensored content, and 3 free images on signup. That is a wide-open start, if the unlimited chat holds in practice.
Paid use runs on credits. Terms say payments for credits are non-refundable, except for double billing, technical errors, or a failure to provide the service. A refund request has to arrive within 14 days of purchase. Accounts closed for rule breaks are not eligible for refunds.
Privacy and content rules
You must be 18 or older. The site says chats are end-to-end secure and stay between you and your companion. Terms still ban anyone under 18, illegal content, hate, violence, and discrimination.
Copying a real person, including a celebrity, needs explicit consent and proper authorization. Uploads must be yours or permitted, and identifiable people need explicit written consent. If legitimacy is questioned, proof and KYC can be required. Refuse that, and the account can be closed with no refund. The listed registration number is 3092507.
Verdict
Pick it if you want a custom companion with memory, voice settings, group chat, and in-chat images, and you are happy to start on free chat. Skip it if you want a real-person clone without consent, or you dislike non-refundable credits. Clonella is a capable free-first companion for adults who like building their own match, provided you follow the consent rules.
Clonella Alternatives
Clonella hands you unlimited free chat and 3 free images on signup before anyone asks for a card. If you want a different kind of companion, the picks below take other routes.
Four named creators set Clona AI apart from Clonella’s build-your-own chat. The site lists Riley Reid, Lena The Plug, Dan Dangler and Dainty Wilder, and says more are added regularly. Basic offers unlimited free chats that stay restricted. Ultra is $9.99 per month for uncensored chat and custom photos, with voice playback on both plans and cancel anytime. Pick Clona AI if you follow those creators and will pay Ultra. Clonella keeps unlimited free chat and 3 free images on signup, with no card.
Video is the clearest split on FanFinity. Clonella generates images in chat and gives you 3 free images on signup, while FanFinity adds image and video generation beside text or voice chat. A Free Plan is on the menu, and you can set personality, voice and looks, then browse girls, guys and anime. Sign-up is required before you create. Choose FanFinity if you want video, voice chat and boyfriend options. Clonella is the simpler free start when group chats and unlimited free messages matter more than video.
HuggingFans skips the build step and centers private one-on-one chats with creator-made avatars. Sign-up is free, Google or Discord login is offered, and chat access needs no scheduling. Long-term memory holds earlier chats. The site is clear these are avatars, not the creators, and reactions come from AI. Choose HuggingFans if a free creator-style talk matters more than pictures. Clonella still suits you if you want unlimited free messages, custom look and voice, group chats, and 3 free images on signup.
