PromptChan Promptchan is an AI image and video generator with companion chat built in. You can create realistic, anime, fantasy, or illustration pictures, then turn a scene into video. New accounts get free Gems and starter chat messages, while paid plans add Gems, styles, and quality. It suits adults who want pictures, clips, and roleplay in one place.
What you can create with Promptchan
In Create, you write a prompt, choose a style, and generate. Tweak changes an outfit, background, pose, or lighting when you keep the instruction focused. Clone loads a community creation’s prompt and settings so you can make your own variation, and you can also animate images from Explore.
Video starts from a prompt or an image. You choose Auto motion or direct it with a prompt, add dialogue or sound, then use Extend to keep the clip going. The site says AI video requires Pro and uses Gems.
Chat sits beside the generator. You can create a character or find one in Discover, including a girlfriend, boyfriend, or anime companion, then roleplay and request scene photos or videos. Choose a voice to swap voice messages or start a voice call from the chat header. The site claims 11,184,140 users worldwide, and the homepage calls the chat no-filter.
Is Promptchan free? Pricing and limits
The site says new accounts get free Gems and starter chat messages, and you can start creating free. Paid plans add Gems, styles, and quality options. Video is the part of the date that expects you to pay: it requires Pro and uses Gems.
Some subscriptions renew automatically. Crypto and G2A payments are fixed-period instead. You can cancel in account settings, and access stays active until the end of the current billing cycle.
Privacy and content rules
You must be 18. The terms ban AI-generated child sexual content, non-consensual deepfakes, and any depiction or impersonation of celebrities, public figures, or private individuals without consent. Generated images are described as fictional and meant to show adults.
You keep ownership of your images and prompts. In public mode you grant Promptchan and other users a license to use that work. In private or offline mode, the site says it does not assert rights to your images and prompts. Private generation depends on your plan and settings, and you choose what to publish. The terms say removal requests are aimed at a response within 48 hours.
Verdict
Pick Promptchan if you want prompt-based images, video tools, and companion chat with voice in the same browser service. Skip it if you need video without Pro, or if you want to depict real people. For adults comparing NSFW generators, it is a broad free-to-start toolkit with a clear Pro gate on video.
PromptChan Alternatives
PromptChan puts image, video, and girlfriend chat in one place, with free Gems for new accounts. If you want stories, a private companion, or tighter scene controls instead, these options shift the balance.
Xipics leans into a creator studio more than girlfriend chat. You get images, video, stories, and preset character chat on a free account, with Vivid and Nova engines and styles such as Nova Photoreal, Hentai Heaven, and Cyberrealistic. The site claims 12,995 creators joined this week, and earnings are described as credits. Sign-up is required, and the site also pitches a $XIPICS invest, which is a side quest PromptChan does not ask you to take. Pick Xipics if you want stories plus publish-and-earn credits, not only Gems and voice calls.
TryNectar fits better when the companion itself is the point. A free plan covers the character creator, chat, and a limited number of images, and chats are private by default. You set appearance, personality, and a custom backstory, and the site says most characters are ready within minutes. Persistent memory carries preferences across sessions, though it can fade, and premium adds extended memory. Unlimited messaging needs premium, and generations still cost credits. Choose TryNectar over PromptChan if multilingual chat in English, German, Spanish, or French matters more than voice calls.
Seduced skips the girlfriend chat and stays on image and video control. Plans start at $30/month for 300 image credits, with 30+ models and 300+ fetish extensions you can mix up to 8. Images have no watermarks, and looks include photoreal, RAW Photo, anime, hentai, and 3D. Diamond clips reach 18 seconds, Pro video is tightly limited, and hardcore needs Platinum or Diamond. A training add-on starts from $60, and VAT is extra on monthly prices. Pick Seduced over PromptChan if you want scene direction, not voice calls.
